We made it home from the funeral for Randy’s grandma on Sunday. I wish we could have stayed longer, but I didn’t have anymore leave. Randy’s grandma touched so many lives, mine included. She treated me like I was one of her own grand kids. Miss you Nena.

So it’s 4:30am and I’m at SA International Airport waiting for my flight to FL to attend Randy’s grandmothers funeral. It’s going to be a long day. Then tomorrow morning I’m getting up at 6am to drive back with Randy.

Friday I came down with a nasty sore throat, and Randy got a call from his mother that he needs to get to FL as soon as he can cause his grandma is in the ICU. She’s not expected to make it through the weekend.

Had a really good weekend diving. Thursday night we dove the Upper Comal river. I saw about 6 turtles. Sunday we dove the Lower Comal and I saw about 7 turtles including one tiny baby turtle. We pulled out almost a full grocery bag of sunglasses and several bags of cans.

Posted a new review for the Aladin Prime dive computer. Check it out on the SCUBA Equipment Reviews page.
I’ve added another subpage in the SCUBA category, Underwater Photography. Here you can see some of the pictures from my SCUBA trips. Hope you enjoy them.

I’ve decided that I’m going to post some reviews for SCUBA equipment that I’ve used. I’m not a professional reviewer, but I’m pretty sure I know what I like. My first review is of SCUBAPRO’s TWIN JET FINS. I’ll post more reviews of SCUBA equipment as I get a chance to. Head on over to the SCUBA Equipment Reviews subpage of my SCUBA page.

The new version of the site is coming along quite nicely. I would say that I’m about 60% done with it. I have the theme customized how I like it, all the plugins are installed and working correctly, and I have a couple pages up. There was a lot of stuff on the old site that was outdated and irrelevant so I need to determine what I want to put back and what I want to axe.
Moving to a blog-centric format makes it much easier for me to keep everyone up to date with what I’m doing. I’m hoping that I’ll stay motivated to write at least a couple times a week.

SITE UNDER CONSTRUCTION
I hope everyone likes the new look of the site! I’m nowhere near finished with it yet, but I have got the About Me, SCUBA, and Contact pages up. I decided to scrap the old oddtangent and start fresh using WordPress because it’s just easier to update and more importantly it’s free.
The new homepage on www.oddtangent.com will take place of my old blogger blog (I’ll put up a link to the old blog for archive purposes in case anyone really wants to read it).
So, keep checking back often for updates and blog posts!
